My Favorite Uncle Phil

Uncle Phil died this morning.  It was sad news that we knew to expect in the coming months... but we didn't expect it this soon.  He was a great man, a wonderful uncle to me, and I'll miss him so much.

He would always call me his "Favorite Niece Pam" -- because I was his only niece named Pam, of course.  He'd always have a hug and kiss for me when we saw each other (which wasn't often enough). He always greeted you with a smile and a laugh and wanted to know how you were and what you were up to.

Last summer Uncle Phil married Kim.  They were so in love and their compassion for each other was a beautiful thing. They asked me to take the photos at their backyard wedding.  It's easy to capture beautiful photos when two people are so in love.  Kim fits so perfectly into our family and I'm glad Uncle Phil brought her to us.

Farewell Uncle Phil.  I'll miss you.

His obituary was posted online today and I want to keep a copy of it here as well.
