All I Want For Christmas

Hey! A girl can dream, can't she? I'm writing this list for Santa so he knows exactly what I want and will bring it with him tonight when he navigates my chimney. (Psssst... Santa, I didn't put up a tree this year, so just leave these on the fireplace hearth and I'll find 'em.)  I've been an awfully good girl this year!

HTC EVO Smartphone
You know I already plan to buy this for myself as a reward for finishing my book. But if I happen to get it early I wouldn't be mad at you. Isn't it beautiful with the huge screen and 4G speed and slick buttons and stuff? I bet you probably want one for yourself too, right?

Adobe Lightroom 3.0
Yep, I'm planning to buy this software package myself too... but I first have to save my pennies. It's a great program to manage and edit my photos quickly and efficiently. Santa, you already know how much I love my previous version of Lightroom, but wouldn't this be so nice under the tree this year? If you wanted to be extra nice, you could also bring me a new camera. I'd love to get my hands on the Nikon D7000.

Tubbs Snowshoes
OK, I admit it! I've already bought these for myself. It's officially the Christmas gift I bought for Pam this year. I found such a great deal on them that I couldn't pass 'em up. But if you bring me another pair, Santa, I can take these ones back to the store and use the money toward something else (like the electric bill, maybe?). I haven't used mine yet, they're still in the box .... just waiting for more snow to fall before I give this new sport a try. (I could also use a new winter coat to go along with my new winter sport - like the Columbia Parka -- my dress coat isn't going to work well with snowshoes.)

Wacom Tablet
Oh boy! My inner geek is showing isn't it? This new pen tablet would be so handy in my new graphic designer adventures, wouldn't it? But this one is pretty pricey and I can't seem to find a "student discount" anywhere on the interwebz so I suspect I'm going to have to pay full price for it. But if you could get Rudolph to make a detour to the Geek Store and pick one of these up for me, I'd be so happy! Imagine all the amazing illustrations and art I could create with this little gem!

Logitech Performance Mouse or the Logitech Trackman Mouse
I can't decide which one I want but I know I definitely want a new mouse to make my graphic designing (and internet surfing) easier and faster. Why don't you just decide which one to wrap up and bring it to me on Christmas Eve -- then I won't have to choose.

Keurig Cafe One-Touch Milk Frother
You know how much I love my Keurig Coffeemaker and you know how much I love lattes. So wouldn't this be absolutely perfect for me? You just add milk to the pitcher, turn it on and in a few minutes you have hot frothed milk - no muss, no fuss! I saw it in Kohl's the other day and instantly fell in love with it. But it's sort of expensive for just making frothy milk.... but if someone super nice (like you, Santa) were to buy it for me, I would be such a happy coffee girl! But until I get this, I'll just use my little Ikea frothing aerolatte thingie.  And while we're chatting about Keurig, if you want to fill my stocking with the Van Houtte French Vanilla k-cups, that'd be great.... it's my new favorite flavor of coffee!

I guess that about covers it for this year's wish list. You don't have to bring me everything on the list, Santa. But whatever you can fit down the chimney would be just fine with me.

Thank you! Merry Christmas!
Pam

  1. @MM - I know. I'm jealous. I have to stop myself from coming to your house and stealing it while you sleep. But I should have mine in the next few weeks. :-)

  2. Great list Pam! Just trying to keep up with you via your blog and wanted to let you know that you will LOVE the trackball mouse!! I have this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-D67-00001-Trackball-Optical-Mouse/dp/B00005853X/ref=sr_1_17?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1292966180&sr=1-17
It is an oldie but a goodie-I have had it for over 10 years-Yes TEN years-ever heard of a mouse lasting that long? it is for lazy people since you don't have to move your arm at all and I love that the forward/back internet browsing are on the right and left respectively. Makes browsing SO much quicker (when I got the mouse that was not why I got it-the internet was 'barely out' yet-so it seems- and internet connections were so slow there was no need for 'quick' going back or forward on the internet)

I like the thumb trackballs better then the finger/pointer ones and I like the ones that have the forward/back internet buttons on opposite sides (which are mostly only found on the finger/pointer trackballs-not on the thumb ones)

good luck in getting all that you want/need-you better have been REALLY good to get ALL of those goodies!

ps-I would be happy for santa to bring me your hand me downs of lightroom, camera, and phone-so since he could 'save money' on giving me hand me downs, then he could spend a bit more on you :-)

  3. @Julie - Wow! Hello there stranger! Nice to hear from you. :-) And thanks for the review on that trackball mouse, I'll check it out.

Knowing you and your bargain hunting skills, I bet you could find all those things on my list and only pay $15 for the whole pile of it. I'm always amazed at the deals you find!

    Have a Merry Christmas!

  4. You'll love that Wacom tablet! I've been using one about a year for my embroidery digitizing. It's SO much easier than trying to create with a mouse. It's a MUST have!

  5. @Dee - oh great! Now I want it even more! I'm going to have to get a second job just to afford all my indulgences. :-)
