Chocolate & Peanut Butter Protein Bars

I’ve discovered the most amazing recipe and I wanted to share it with you. I’ve got several other concoctions for protein bars that I want to try, but this one was my first and I’m loving it! Some say it tastes like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, some say it tastes like No Bake Cookies. Give it a try! 1 c. rolled oats 1 c. 100% natural granola cereal ¼ c. natural peanut butter ¼ c. slivered almonds 6 scoops chocolate flavored whey protein powder 1 small package sugar-free chocolate pudding mix (dry) 1 to 1.5 c. skim milk Wheat germ Mix dry ingredients together until well combined. Slowly add in milk a bit at a time until you all dry ingredients are well mixed with milk. You might not need all the milk. Sprinkle a couple tablespoons of wheat germ on the bottom of an 8x8 baking pan (this keeps the bars from sticking). Place mixture into pan and press flat. Sprinkle top of mixture with wheat germ. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Cut into 9 bars. Keep refrigerated and eat with a fork. Nutrients per serving: Calories: 183 Protein: 20g Carbs: 24g Fat: 2g

  1. Does the wheat germ just go on top or mixed in also?

  2. It goes on top (and the bottom of the pan). It's to keep the stickiness to a minimum and an extra layer of fiber.
